Our gallery is an established framing workshop and art gallery located at The Tannery in Christchurch and specialises in custom framing from budget to museum level.

Our on-line printing and framing service provides a choice of dozens of frame styles, colours and mats. The selection process is both fun and easy. Play around with options and create the framed piece that reflects your own style.

Your frame will be hand-crafted at our workshop and you will enjoy the same quality as customers who come to our shop. Your order will be shipped to you expertly finished and ready to hang.

Giclee Printing: Our giclee printing is one of the best reproduction methods available. It is a process that uses a 12 colour ink jet printer, acid free paper and pigment based archival inks which last for well over 100 years and won't fade. These prints are of much higher quality than bulk prints made using traditional lithography, displaying vivid colours, crisp detail and colour accuracy.

Our on-line framing options:

Four different types of glass:

  • Standard glass adequate for low cost posters and short term use.
  • Tru Vue Conservation glass, which filters 99% of the damaging UV light, prevents fading and slows down paper degradation, recommended for more valuable art and pieces you would like to keep- safe.
  • True Vue UV70 glass which filters 70% of the damaging UV light and in addition is crystal clear without reflection. It appears as if there was no glass at all.
  • Perspex UV light resistance helps prevent fading and degradation of paper by filtering harmful UV light. Impact resistance for safety and half the weight of glass, recommended for larger artworks.

Two different qualities of mats:  the card board border around the art work which keeps the glass off the art work and allows airflow.

  • Nova Core, a basic acid free board recommended for low cost art work and short time use, budget level.
  • Artcare, a conservation grade board which is fade and bleed resistant and extends the life of the art work through a specific technology.

Four different types of paper and printing media

  • Hahnemuhle German etching 320gms
  • Matte print paper
  • Satin photo paper
  • High quality fine art cotton canvas
